The AD100VTH features VOXs Valve Reactor found on all Valvetronix products. The Valve Reactor circuit uses a 12AX7 triode vacuum tube together with an actual low-wattage tube power amp circuit, a virtual output transformer and a dummy speaker circuit that simulates the impedance changes of a real speaker. It also reconfigures itself so that its characteristics are the same as the amps its modeling (class A, class AB, negative feedback circuit, etc.). This means that all of the nuances of the original amp model including sound, feel, distortion and presence are reproduced accurately.

Feature:
Los of features. Built in effects and diff amp models. Only negative is that it didnt come with a footswitch.
Quality:
Some people have complained that their unit has burnt out of failed on them. They must have gotten defective products because I know a few people with these and they work great.
Value:
$400 for this sound is fine with me. I had a Krank Rev series one amp and I loved the sound. This thing is more versatile and its 1/4 the price.
Desirability:
looks very nice. Doesnt take up a lot of space and is pretty light.
Sound:
The sound on this thing is very good. It models the different amps very well. I was thinking about getting a peavey valveking head, but this one sounded much crisper and more present.
Ease of Use:
Pretty straight forward. Pick your sound, dial in and play.

Marshall Avt50hx Guitar Amplifier Head (50 Watts) Guitar Amp Heads Marshall Guitars, Amps, and Effects Shipping Cost :$0 Feature: Decent enough. Two footswitchable channels gives the minimum flexability required to work with the amp. The efects loop is solid and provides a good routing option. Also, It is nice to have a headphone feature on a 50w head. Quality: Typical marshall build. Particle board head and cab with standard black tolex. Ive never had to worry about getting to a gig and it not working. Verry solid, just seems a bit cheaply made. Value: I wish I had bought a tube combo. I was a little preocupied with, "I need a half stack." Desirability: Its a marshall, It looks cool. Sound: Better than a lot of cheap solid state amps, but lacks the warmth of real tubes. The single tube is only in the drive channel, so the clean channel sounds just like the MG series. Ease of Use: Its an amp. You turn it on, and turn it up. Support: N.A. Overall: Its an OK amp that will have to get me by until I can afford something better. It works OK live, but I never use it in the studio. Retail Price :$650 Review this product |
