Feature:
I wish the fret board inlays were more eye-catching. I also wish this guitar had a pickup, because it sounds so amazing already.
Quality:
It is obvious tht this clean, classy guitar is about quality, so its OK that its not fancy. Solid, no defects, everything functions perfectly.
Value:
Perhaps the best Ive seen for the price. A better bargain than my Martin DM. I went looking for a bit cheaper, "beater" guitar and found this gem!
Desirability:
Not a dazzling guitar, so people who play to look good probably wont be as into this guitar. But it has a dignified, classy appeal, and once you play it, its addictive.
Sound:
It has a full, rich tone. Bass and timbre are great, especially considering the price.
Ease of Use:
Some fret buzz, but the action is plenty smooth. Seems to hold tune well, as the one I have played at the store (and will be buying this weekend) has been in tune each of the five times I have played it (and its a floor model)!
Support:
Havent purchased yet, but their web site is informative and easy to navigate. My Tak dealer is very knowledgeable, too.
Overall:
Love it and dont see that changing!

Gibson Historic Collection Hummingbird Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar (with Case) 6 string Acoustic Guitars Gibson Guitars, Amps, and Effects Shipping Cost :$0 Feature: The pick guard, which is supposed to be the visual marquis of this guitar, wore of almost instantly. Quality: Compared to other guitars of the same price range, I would go for a Martin or a Larivee. Value: Not worth it. Desirability: Keep it. Sound: I own a 1967 Hummingbird and can honestly say that the new ones cannot compare. My vintage bird has tones that knock the socks off the new ones. Harmonically the vintage is superior. The new ones are hollow sounding, with less sustain and less bass response, making it sound too bright or tinny. The neck, however, is still very nice. Ease of Use: Like I said, it cant compare to the older ones made in Kalamazoo. Support: When I asked about the pick guard wearing off so fast, they said thats the way it is. Overall: I am not satisfied. Retail Price :$3589 Review this product |
