The MediaOne 5a monitors produce a powerful, full-range sound thanks to the internal 40 watt amplifier, extended range copolymer woofer and 25mm silk dome tweeter. The 5-inch custom designed woofer delivers tight and controlled low frequency response, while the silk dome high frequency driver is set in a custom wave guide that produces an accurate and natural high frequency response. The result is solid bass dispersion and extended highs, all in an amazingly compact cabinet.

Sound: These Wharfs are great as a second set of mixing monitors or for a smaller studio setup. I found them actually helping me with some mixes I did on my 824 mackies. M-audio Bx8a Deluxe Active Monitors Active powered Studio Monitors M audio Recording Shipping Cost :$0 Feature: There is no E.Q. or wall placement adjustment. Only volume knob. Though it serves me right, if one needs to place them in a weird position/room acoustic, it will be harder to get the sound ones looking for. Quality: Everything is very robust, transpires quality and confidence. Seeing that Kevlar is a component found on bulletproof vests, I was expecting a woofer more robust on the touch. Still... they are meant to be listened and not touched. Value: Worth every penny. I dont think there is any competition in its class. Upgraded from an Alesis 620 and eventhough the price difference isnt that much... the results are obvious: the BX8a Deluxe easily trumps it. Yamaha Hs50m Active Studio Monitor (70 Watts 1x5 In.) Active powered Studio Monitors Yamaha Recording Shipping Cost :$0 Feature: The gain knobs and input/output versatility is great. Thank you Yamaha for providing a long power cord! Quality: Well find out, but I highly doubt any problems will arise. If so, yamaha is known for its quality assurance. Value: Such a great deal for the price. The best 2.1 monitoring system for the price in my opinion! Desirability: I love the classic white woofers. They really are classy and nicely designed. I love the white LED. It isnt annoying and bright. The cabs are very well constructed and designed with style and functionality in mind. Sound: The 50ms combined with the HS10 sub are an excellent match. I didnt touch the low/high cuts of anything. My mixer/interface/and speakers are all at nominal. I actually have the sub at about 10 oclock because it was SO incredibly bassy. However it is not distorted bass, just intense. The quality is fantastic as well. Ive heard things from these speakers that Ive never heard from my schools Genelec monitors. A great deal! Ease of Use: I wanted to test the flatness by just plugging everything in out of the box and havent had to touch anything. It sounds fantastic. Overall: I hope I never have to find another product. This will be my monitoring system for a long long time. Ill probably add to it if I ever mix in 5.1. Once again, it helps you hear things you never would have before.
