Yamaha Mw12cx 12-channel Usb Mixer With Effects 4 bus Mixers Yamaha Recording Shipping Cost :$0 Feature: It does what it says on the tin. Having utility compression on input is useful. And did I mention the great signal routing path? The stereo line ins (9/10 and 11/12) dont have mid Eq, only top and bottom. Quality: Seems solid. Unfortunately, the default Windows USB audio device driver doesnt work with this device; sound comes out totally garbled. Value: Get the MW12C. The effects are not worth the $30 extra. Desirability: Its OK. Sound: Theres a bit of noise, but not too terrible. The signal routing is great for this price class, with two independent stereo buses plus the USB I/O. The effects, however, arent really useful. They sound like a hold-over from the first cheap digital effect boxes from 1985. I much prefer the effects in VST. Ease of Use: Really nothing to complain about. Some of the buttons are a little hard to tell whether theyre in or out. Support: I tried getting a fix for the USB audio device problem on the web site, but they only have an update for ASIO/KS. Overall: I got this because it was the cheapest mixer I could get with two independent busses and reasonable Mic pres. It does just fine for that. Retail Price :$449 Review this product |

Yamaha Mg3214fx 32-channel 14-bus Mixer With Dual Efx 14 bus Mixers Yamaha Recording Shipping Cost :$0 Feature: Again its real nice for the price. There are some options that usually arent in a board at this price point. Quality: Good quality for the most part. Sliders have a little bit of a cheaper feel to them, but not bad. Wish sliders had rubber sheild in the slots but hey, cant have everything. Value: For the price you cant beat it! I know you can spend more on whatever brand you happen to be married to, but if you want a 32 channel mixer in this price range, this is the one for you. Desirability: 32 channels with effects...more money in my pocket...now I can take the wife out on the town and have my toys too. Life is good. Sound: For the price its very strong although Id like it to have a little more punch. (but that could be due to my ancient speakers) It has so much more control than my previous board its unreal. Ease of Use: Pretty straight foreward. Support: Havent used it yet, but have dealt with them in the past. Overall: If you are on a budget and need a larger board, youd be hard pressed not to get this. It does have some small "plastic" issues, but if you take care of it, it will take care of you.
