Jbl Jrx118s Passive Pa Subwoofer (350 Watts 1x18 In.) Passive unpowered Pa Subwoofers Jbl Live Sound/PA Shipping Cost :$3.99 Feature: I used a Crown XTi 2000 amp with the internal cossover set to 100hz to power these subs which gives them 800 watts in stereo. It sounded awesome. Quality: Definately very high quality can hold it own with the touring shows equipment. Value: Same class in quality of sound as $1xxx subs so it is definately worth it. Desirability: This will be the last sub you will ever need-no matter what your genre is. Sound: I work for a theater ad I run sound for Broadway touring shows on a regular basis. This sub can hang in there with many of the pro EAW and Meyers systems. Ease of Use: These have both NL4 Speakon and 1/4 inch connectors making them compatibel to almost any system. You dont to many pro-level cabinets with both types of connectors anymore. Support: Who knows...I havnt needed them and I probably never will. Overall: Dont even consider Peavy, Mackie, Nady, Behringer, Kustom, or Yamaha speakers - JBl will blow them out of the water in all areas. Retail Price :$549 Review this product |

Yamaha Sw118v Club V Subwoofer (1x18 In.) Passive unpowered Pa Subwoofers Yamaha Live Sound/PA Shipping Cost :$14.99 Feature: they came with nothing but i didnt expect them to come with anything. a mounted set of wheels would have been nice. Quality: the cabs seem to be strong but one of the subs was dead out of the box and it took some work to get a replacement Value: if your planning to use them for a small to medium room they will do fine but if you want some real punch at concert level, spend the money and get some mackies. Sound: Somewhat of a dissapointment. i have them matched with Yamahas P5000 amps. they sound great at lower volumes but at comcert level they get muddy. Ease of Use: they hookup well with the yamaha matching amps and club v pa speakers. Overall: the price wasnt bad and they work pretty well if you dont push them but for a little more you can get subs with higher output and more punch. Retail Price :$599 Review this product |
