Guitars, Amps, and Effects
Since 1987, the Ibanez RG has been the weapon of choice for visiting sonic mayhem on the metal masses. With the right choice of pickups, flat and fast necks and double-locking trems, the RG has divebombed and crunched its way to classic status. To the RGs lethal combination of features, RG Prestige models add the comfortable, rounded feel of Prestige neck finishing, drop-dead good looks and top-shelf electronics and hardware.

Feature:
Tone knob and volume know great. 5 way toggle switch cool. This guitar is really great the only thing is that string locks and a locking trem would make it a perfect ten.
Quality:
Its great for someone starting up with sevenstrings.
Sound:
The sound is pretty good but I need something with a tremolo and string locks because when i tuned it to ADGCFAD it started going out of tune all the time.
Overall:
its alright not the best though.

Ibanez S7320 7-string Electric Guitar 7 string Electric Guitars Ibanez Guitars, Amps, and Effects Shipping Cost :$0 Feature: Excellent ZR tremelo. Allows you to bend strings without the bridge raising too much. Desirability: Very sexy Sound: You definitely need to rip the pickups out. I havent done this yet as I am trying to work out which pickup combination might work the best. Ive narrowed it down to 3 choices... -2 EMG 707 Active pickups -a Dimarzio D-Sonic (Petrucci) in bridge and a Dimarzio D-Activator in the neck (an active-sounding passive). -The Evolution (Vai) I love John Petruccis sound so I may go with the second option at this stage. Does anyone have any feedback on my choice. Ease of Use: Very comfortable... and Ive never played a 7-string before this one. Retail Price :$933.32 Review this product |

Esp Ltd Vp407 Viper 7-string Electric Guitar 7 string Electric Guitars Esp Guitars, Amps, and Effects Shipping Cost :$0 Feature: For a mahagony body, this guitar is fairly light. It is very easy to play. Quality: I personally would have liked it to be a string-through body, but it does fine for the heavy playing that i like to do. If i was buying it for the first time, i would buy it for a main guitar, just be careful with it, the paint on the body easily comes off if rubbed up against a hard surface. Value: Great price for the guitar, i bought it from a dealer for $750. Sound: This guitar works better with heavy distortion, just playing off of the amp doesnt sound very well. I personally recommend a heavy metal distortion pedal. The guitar was mainly designed for lows and rythm playing techiques, if you are a lead guitarist, the lower strings will easily drown you out. Support: Havent had any problems. Retail Price :$929 Review this product |

Ibanez Rg2228 Prestige 8-string Electric Guitar (with Case) 7 string Electric Guitars Ibanez Guitars, Amps, and Effects Shipping Cost :$0 Feature: Other than the 8 strings and the Active EMG pickups, not really much additional. Does have locking nut, but not really needed without a tremelo bridge. Comes with the really nice RG case. Quality: I was very impressed with the quality. I have not held a Japanese made instrument in years. The quality is better than a lot of the American made instruments. It came out of the box setup and ready to play (other than tuning). Value: For the great quality and the fact there are only two companies that are mass producing 8-strings, it is a very good value. I have guitars I have paid twice as much for that are no where near the quality. Desirability: Must have for the serious guitarist. Sound: The EMG pickups do a fantastic job, very hot and conver the full range of all 8 strings very well Ease of Use: It is best to go from a 7-string to the 8-string. I was able to take advantage of the 8th string within a few minutes. Plays very smooth. Overall: This will easily be one of the top guitars in my collection for years. I play Bass and Guitar, with this I can get a lot of the Bass I need and rythm, lead guitar also. Retail Price :$2133.32 Review this product |
