Electro-harmonix Micro Synthesizer Pedal
Guitar Filter Effects
Electro harmonix
Guitars, Amps, and Effects
From the classic vintage sounds of the great early Moog(tm) synthesizer to wild custom creations, the Micro Synthesizer for Guitar lets the player create those fat analog synthesizer sounds heard on records by everyone from George Clinton to the Police to the Chemical Brothers. The compact layout of 10 slider controls lets the sonically adventurous guitarist dial in a virtually limitless array of analog synthesizer sounds.

Feature:
There is essentially nothing much this pedal can do as far as "synth" sounds go, except for percussive synth sounds. It does those very well, but other than that, youve got nothing.
Quality:
I bought this after I bought the Electro Harmonix POG. The POG was so good, I thought I should buy this as well, but it was a mistake. The quality of this pedal is nowhere near the excellence of the POG. The tracking is absolutely awful. You cant play a chord on any of the settings except for the clean guitar signal. On the other settings, its essentially just distortion.
Value:
This pedal is not worth the money at all. It should be 70-100 dollars cheaper. Pretty useless.
Desirability:
It looks cool. Thats pretty much it.
Sound:
Really ugly tone on pretty much any setting. I tried playing with it for weeks to try and find some sort of acceptable setting. Never found it.
Ease of Use:
Easy to use. Manual is quite clear. Takes some patience to understand.
Support:
Didnt have to deal with them.
Overall:
I am returning this pedal for a Moogerfooger, which is far more able to produce the kind of synth sounds Im looking for. If you are looking for legit synth-like sounds to make with a guitar, this is absolutely not the answer. Go with Moog.

Moog Music Mf105 Moogerfooger Murf Filter Pedal Guitar Filter Effects Moog Music Guitars, Amps, and Effects Shipping Cost :$0 Feature: I love that you can plug in expression pedals in the back to remotely control the various knobs while still being able to play. Quality: Built tough. The previous owner of the pedal banged it up quite a bit, but it still operates perfectly. Value: $440 is a bit much for an effects pedal, especially since any of the sounds that this produces can be replicated with a little bit of knowledge of vsts. But having a real live, zero latency, makes it worth it alone. Desirability: Sexiest pedal out there. It makes weird sounds, but is still completely practical for the music i want to make. Sound: The sheer range of sounds that this thing can produce just from mild tweaking is what made me glad i bought this. It can sound like a phaser, or a tremolo, or a drum machine, or underwater, or trapped in a computer in the 80s. Really cool. Ease of Use: Just spend a few hours with it and you can it figure out. The cool thing is that after you do there are still things to learn. Support: havent used it. Overall: This is what i want out of pedals: versatility, great sound, and fun. And this provides that. Line6 Fm4 Filter/synth Modeler Pedal Guitar Filter Effects Line 6 Guitars, Amps, and Effects Shipping Cost :$0 Feature: the five different knobs helped me find the sound i was looking for in each effect. it did not come with any accessories except batteries. I really enjoy the Seeker, Synth-o-Matic,Growler, and Attack synth. I wasnt very amused with the Q-filter and the V-tron tho Quality: It was made pretty well. Though Im living in constant fear that something bad might happen Value: Probably not. the price could be alittle lower. But then again, synth are very expencive. The price of the FM-4 is cheap compared to other synthesizers Desirability: hehe. I dont think its a very attractive piece equipment. But the sound makes up for it. Sound: The sound of this product it quite good. Very strange and very organic. Support: Never reached the company. I havent had a problem yet. Overall: Aftter playing the product for many month. It has opened knew doors for guitar playing. This product lead me to other different guitar synth items like the Roland GR-33 Synth guitar and Keyboard synthesizers. I think this product really sent my guitar playing in whole different direction. Retail Price :$349.99 Review this product |
